Sifu Keith Monk has always and interest in Martial Arts and in early 2008 Sifu Keith spotted an advert offering a free trial in Wing Chun King Fu with Schools of Kung Fu. Sifu Keith took up the trial and was immediately hooked on Kung Fu and under the guidance of his instructor Sifu Alan Paterson he started his journey in wing Chun.

Prior to this Sifu Keith studied other martial arts beginning with Kyokushinkai Karate, Jujitsu and Jeet Kune Do. None of these met his needs in a Martial Art so he continued his search and discovered Wing Chun.

Through the guidance of (Master) Sifu Alan Paterson Sifu Keith worked through the student curriculum, joined the instructor training program at Schools of Kung UK HQ  (Croydon). He became an assistant kids’ instructor before qualifying as a lead instructor and then achieved assistant adult instructor in Sifu Alan’s Adult classes. After becoming a full-time instructor at Croydon HQ Sifu Keith opened Schools of Kung Fu Sutton based in Carshalton, Surrey, in 2012. It has become one of the most successful Mart Arts Schools in the country and a multi award winning Black Belt school.

Sifu Keith is a 4^th Level Technician (4^th Dan) and to this day remains a student of Sifu Alan Paterson (UK Chief Instructor of Schools of Kung Fu by IWKA) and has accompanied him on a cultural trip to Beijing, instructor trips to Italy and to the Eternal Spring Institute in Maderia to a seminar hosted by (Grand Master) Sifu Sergio who is the International Chief Instructor of Schools of Kung Fu by IWKA.

Sifu Keith over the many years has attended countless UK seminars and workshops led by Sifu Sergio Pascal Iadarloa.

Schools of Kung Fu Sutton is a full-time academy open seven days a week and has a dedicated team of full time and part time instructors who are passionate in Chinese Martial Arts helping all students striving to reach their very best potential in 1700’s Wing Chun Kung Fu.
